The Igbo people (English: /ˈiːboʊ/ EE-boh, also US: /ˈɪɡboʊ/; also spelled Ibo and formerly also Iboe, Ebo, Eboe, Eboans, Heebo; natively Ṇ́dị́ Ìgbò [ìɡ͡bò] ( listen)) are a meta-ethnicity native to the present-day south-central and southeastern Nigeria and also Equatorial Guinea.
Igbos are well known for their variety of soups, made from locally grown vegetables, fruits and seeds. The most popular Igbo soups are oha, nsala, akwu, okazi and ofe owerri. The Igbo people have a traditional religious belief that there is one creator, called ‘Chineke’ or ‘Chukwu’.
They are two different words that means different things. Igbo is the language while Ibo is the people.
Igbo, also called Ibo, people living chiefly in southeastern Nigeria who speak Igbo, a language of the Benue-Congo branch of the Niger-Congo language family. The Igbo may be grouped into the following main cultural divisions: northern, southern, western, eastern or Cross River, and northeastern.
But when you want to count the tribe with the richest person as in who has the highest quantified wealth, then it is the Hausa-Fulani and followed by the Yoruba tribe and then Igbo. But by population of rich Nigerians, Igbos are the richest.

Igboland (Standard Igbo: Àlà Ị̀gbò, also known as Southeastern Nigeria, is the homeland of the Igbo people. It is a cultural and common linguistic region in southern Nigeria. Geographically, it is divided by the lower Niger River into two sections: an eastern (the larger of the two) and a western one.
The Ikwerre (natively known as Iwhuruọha) is widely regarded as one of the Igbo groups in Rivers State. They are considered as a part of the larger Igbo ethnic group.
Delta State is a state in Nigeria, comprising mainly Igbo (Anioma people), Urhobo, Isoko, Ijaw and Itsekiri. The whole ethnic-groups that comprise the Delta are administratively grouped into three senatorial districts namely Delta North, Delta South and Delta Central for easy administrative purposes.
Cowry shells of many varieties and species were the first universal currency. They have been used across Africa to facilitate trade and measure wealth. There are many more types of currencies the Igbo tribe uses including Ackies, Manilla, copper rods, and brass rods.

The Yoruba -speaking peoples share a rich and complex heritage that is at least one thousand years old. Today 18 million Yoruba live primarily in the modern nations of southwestern Nigeria and the Republic of Benin.
Igbo is spoken in southern Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon, Haiti,Barbados, Belize, Trinidad and Tobago, it also supplied a large chunk of words to the Jamaican Patois.
Chukwu is the supreme being of Igbo spirituality. In the Igbo pantheon, Chukwu is the source of all other Igbo deities and is responsible for assigning them their different tasks.
