All about the ancient tribes
Originally from the Abiezrite line of the tribe of Manasseh, Gideon lived in Ephrata as the son of Joash. He was the grandson of Joash (Ophrah). As a commander of the Israelites, he led a group of 300 ‘valiant’ warriors to a decisive victory over a Midianite army, despite the fact that they were vastly outnumbered.
Samson was a famous Israelite warrior and judge, a member of the tribe of Dan, and a Nazirite. His enormous physical power, which he employed for 20 years against the Philistines, originated from his uncut hair.
The Gideons began giving free Bibles in 1908, and they have been doing so ever since. The first Bibles were put in rooms of the Superior Hotel in Superior, Montana, where they remained till this day. The Gideons International is a Christian organization.

Gideons International is a Protestant business and professional laymen group that distributes copies of the Bible or the New Testament in hotel rooms, prisons, schools, and other public areas.
Jewish: derived from a biblical name that translates as ″one who chops down″ in Hebrew. An Israelite leader who had been selected to save his people from the Midianites was responsible for bearing the cross (Judges 6:14).
Delilah, often written Dalila, is the key figure of Samson’s final love tale, which is told in the Old Testament (Judges 16). She was a Philistine who, after being bribed in order to entrap Samson, enticed him into disclosing that the key to his strength was his long hair, after which she took advantage of his confidence to betray him to his enemies, according to the biblical account.
The Gideons spend around $5 on each Bible. With little advertising or extensive Internet outreach – there is no Gideon blimp — and a reliance only on donations, the Gideon approach is successful precisely because Gideons disobey a golden guideline of great business procedures.
Gideons International has managed to distribute more than 1.8 billion Bibles in hotels in 196 countries during the course of its existence. According to the nonprofit, it distributes more than two Bibles per second on average, and it frequently organizes a ceremony with new hotels, entrusting the building with its first book.
Rather from being abandoned, these are given by a Christian group known as The Gideons International as a way of spreading the gospel to the unchurched. The Gideons believe that by placing Bibles in hotel rooms, they will be able to communicate the good news of their religion to tired visitors.
The Lord sent an angel to come to Gideon, and Gideon recognized the angel. During their conversation, the angel stated that he would be the Israelites’ champion. Gideon was promised victory and safety by God. God then instructed Gideon to gather some unleavened cakes and some meat, and once Gideon had done so, he placed them on a rock, where they were burned by fire by the will of God.
